| Comments: Project was fine and the brief was clear. Work and amendments were completed well within the time frame. Only problems were communication and payment. Payment took about 10 days despite the work being accepted. While this may not seem a long time, if I provide work that is fast, accepted and within the given deadline, I expect the service buyer to act the same when it comes to payment. I think Anthony may have been out of the country for some of this time - but an email explaining this and saying when payment would arrive would have been fine. Also, Anthony demanded an invoice and said payment can't be made without it. I think this point needs to be made clear at the start of the project. However, Anthony was clear about what he wanted, sent the details over promptly and was polite to deal with - which are huge plus points in any service buyer. |
| » billapilot's answer: This is call getafreelancer, not do a bit of work on the side away from the tax man. I could not pay this freelancer without an invoice. I am a business, and as such require very basic things like invoices before money can be released. She was very nervous about providing an invoice and what I actually got was not of any use. I can only deal with professionals, and until now this is exactly what has happened. She may be new to freelancing, but has to realise it is not my responsibility to advise her I would require a basic standard invoice. |
