Designed an entire PHP e-commerce site. Very extensive and complex project involving OSCommerce, PHP, javascript, and CRE Loaded. Communication was great as was the result. This site included calendars for varying services with appointment times and dates, gift certificates on an item level, invitations to parties set up online by a host, and many other functions. I am able to administrate the site online including content. They even designed a flash tutorial for all functionality. A great added value.
EncodedArt is wonderful to work with. Everyone really cares that the end result is what I am looking for and they are available and responsive when needed. It has been a great pleasure to work with them and I just can not wait for my next project to work with them again. Thank you very much!

Overall rating, BAD. Will NOT use again.I was left to look for and report errors. Things like spelling and missing links, things not working etc. Nothing was fixed, even the blatantly obvious ones until I reported them.
Component wasn't installable, was missing database statements in XML installer.
And even though the project wasn't finished they wanted to be paid the final payment.
The phone number (100km away) they supplied was never answered. I chose them because I believed they were close to me but all emails from them came time stamped local time somewhere in Asia. I mentioned to them i was happy they were in Toronto and i wasn't informed they weren't. This caused an unacceptable delay between us because I was forsed to wait until the next day just to get a response.
They did decient work in general, but i believe they are just scam artist.
And I have NO faith in the Non-disclosure agreement I they signed.

If you intend to work with him, please read our bitter experience: He discovered some errors, we had proper coders fixed them. He wanted to transfer the site to new host, we provided help, but he would like to do it himself. We also sent him updated XML file so that he would not encounter any problems when transferring. He complained about our delay while he disappeared for nearly three weeks. Non-disclosure is not the one that ratified by both but only one partner will follow. If you don't care about company's budget, you have good programming knowledge and have much time to do nothing, then working with him will be your best choice. We would love to strengthen our company by cooperating with more potential clients, however, we would rather not work with him anymore. |

Encoded Art deserves at least a rating of 11, they did amazing work on our project. They worked on our site constantly to take it from concept to a well-crafted and complex site. It was very easy to work with them, having almost daily communication with Celine. She was fabulous to work with. We will most certainly hope to work with Encoded Art in the future, you would be wise to do so as well.

I told them we where on a tight deadline, the accepted bid, and didn't response for several days. Then when they did finally respond, they said to give them more details, which I did. They then got back to me a day or two later and said, they would need more money to do it. When I gave them more details, I only explained in more detail what was in the orginal bid description.
You have to watch out at getafreelancer.com, I think some companies like this will bid on projects without anaylzing the requirements are even reading the bid description. They just give you some generic replies and accept the bid then analyze. People here will waste your time if you don't watch out.
