Comments: This guy is a crook. He took money for the website, promised over a dozen times that he is completing the work and then NOTHING. He strung me along while I paid for the website, and then he refused to finish it. He will not even pick up the phone or return messages. Do not trust him. If you want to take your chances, make sure the work is finished first before you give him a single penny. And make sure your business is not dependant on his work. He is dishonest and undependable.
 » oscpro's reply: He was unreachable for many weeks to months. He was too busy to handle his own project. Then he sent images that were subpar for his own site which made our design look bad. He had us remake the images, then he just simple ripped us off once we loaded the site.

Comments: Project was never completed (I had to repost the project and hire another Freelancer). Was not satisfied with work he actually accomplished. Timeliness, Professionalism and Business Ethics were all poor. I made the mistake of paying in full by Pay Pal so I basically got nothing for the money I spent. He has not offered to return any portion of the money. My first experience on GAF and I learned a valuable lesson. BUYER BEWARE! I have all emails, Pay Pal receipts and correspondence to verify these facts.
 » oscpro's reply: This guy had a designer make non compliant html designs which would not fit his vbulletin site. I requested he had his designer remake them in compliance and standard html. He did not cooperate. Very rude and we just decided to no longer deal with this client due to his erratic behavior.

Comments: Jim had offered me a professionally designed Vbulletin skin, which I wanted to look somewhat like (not an exact clone) of AdminFusion.com – I expected professional quality and what I got in return was a cheap HTML template that was ripped from Adminfusion.com which you can view here (as he has since password protected the design on his server) http://weirdtales.net/Weird Tales.htm (Yes he works in html – not photoshop as a true pro would) Look at the source code and the code of the AdminFusion website – they are 100% identical. This supposedly took him roughly 1 week to produce… a homeless man could have produced the same in 1 hour. If you want VB design done – this is not the designer you want – very unprofessional.

Comments: Jim truly goes above and beyond as a developer. After hiring him for a 1 day integration we discovered the module glitching, we later found this to be an error with my merchant and not his work. For the next 15 days he called me and emailed me updates as he continued working on it. Also, due to being on opposite coasts he would stay up until very late so we could communicate on my schedule. Even as I grew frustrated he stayed the consummate professional coming up with new ideas to try and fix my module and even called my merchant account. After these two weeks we found out my merchant account had recently changed their coding without making it known and the error was fixed! I estimate that he probably spent over 20 hours working on this job that he had been paid a one hour salary for and he never even hinted towards asking for an increased payment. I will hire him anytime I ever need a developer and wish more people I worked with showed the level of professionalism he does.

Comments: After over 3 months, which should've taken 1 month max, I was left with absolutely nothing to show for the deposit, but a string of broken deadlines and lies. Comments: He really is a pro at OS Commerce. This was my first OSC site and Jim worked patiently through all that I asked of him. He communicates very well and is always online to answer questions. I never felt like he left me waiting for any answers (and I am not a very patient person). I can recommend Jim for any OSC work or OSC add-ons that need to be done and I will surely be working with Jim again. One other big +++ is that he is works US hours since he is based in Tennessee.

After he carelesly dismantled my old web site on Nuvox and uploaded an "Under Construction" sign on his sub-par server which has had numerous problems, I have nothing to show. Comments: Our job: Jim was the second freelancer we had work on our technical issues. The first mucked around with some scripts, uploaded a fix that made the problem worse, then on Friday night after several hours of fruitless work said that it was probably our fault and he would look at it again on Monday. Jim, by comparison, took about 20 minutes to work out the problem was with our sql server, suggested and then implemented a fix. All the time keeping a dialogue going in MSN. From our experience, if you have a problem with OSCommerce, this guy will fix it for you. No fuss, just complete professionalism combined with an expert knowledge of the software. There are plenty of gifted amateurs on here who will bid on any project regardless of their abilities or experience, but if you want the job done right, go with Jim. He's also a really nice guy ;-)
