Incomplete Report: All information given, material sent, 100% escrow paid. But the service was never rendered. After six weeks the project was canceled and the project commission was refunded. Finally we got the escrow money back from GAF. Not recommendable.

 » sparklin's reply: In place of information, only low resolution pictures were provided. For further information, they referred to third party pages. There was no communication from their side from over 6 weeks. Only a totally free and jobless freelancer should bid on their project. In simpler terms, think many times before taking up their jobs.

Comments: Here are 10 points for sparklin for 1. hard work - even working till early morning hours to complete work when I asked for change in night, even though I said that there was no hurry 2. quick modification - sending me updated images quite fast, sometimes in less than a minute of me asking for modification 3. creativity - designing excellent UI when I myself had no clue as to how the UI should appear 4. considering customer's happiness as paramount - not stopping work when I said things like 'it's OK', 'will do' etc., but continuing to make updates till I said that I was really happy and found no issues.

Comments: I need to say, infact I must say that initially i was very sceptical about this means of freelancing. But to my amazement, there wasn't a single problem till the end. This guy is terrific. Excellent communication. He just makes sure you get the best. I was almost sure with what I wanted. And he did give me the same. But he gave an additional option quickly and kept on stressing on this one. I was fine with my thoughts but when I happened to ask others about this 2nd option, they happened to love it. By now, this 2nd option has grown on me and I hate to think i wanted the 1st one. He is not just a silent worker who does what you want. He puts in brain and heart and is practical enough to tell you what going wrong. Comments: Overall seems to be a decent designer, but I still don't have my image. I wasn't in touch often enough on our first go around. But after two long detailed emails explaining what I wanted he still didn't seem to get it, but had put in a lot of work it seemed. In good faith, I released my payment asking him to just end what he had done and I would work from there. He recieved the payment and offered again to have another go, I wrote another long e-mal trying to explain what I wanted and he still didn't really get it. I asked for him to simply send me an earlier version, which he did in a .CDR format that no version of Illstrator can import (CS or CS2). I asked him to convert it to .eps or .ai format and resend and he has so far ignored several messages. I admit not communicating in the beginning, but I paid in good faith and I stll don't have my drawing in a useable format.

Comments: My first experience at getafreelancer and what an experience! Nothing personal to anyone but I always felt that Indians (I am myself an Indian) somehow have degraded on their creative part. Specially after working with big profeesionals, it feels so. But this guy has again contradicted my belief by showing such amazing results. So much of young and energetic feel is evident in the intro provided that I really feel like clapping from my heart. Thanks sparklin, for making the intro so jazzy and fresh and to make me believe that Indians are no less but highly creative minds. Real thanks to this young chap.

Well, for the ill review he got, I say, some people can never be satisfied, God help their w*fe..lol. Sparklin is awesome.

Comments: unfortunately sparklin was out of his depth. very polite and good english but poor management of time and inavbility totake on the brief despite assuring us he understood. job was won on basis it would take two days and references given. the brief was explained several times over but two weeks later we were no further on. there is little doubt that sparklin is very talented and will go far but as a full time student he needs to quote for work he is competent to do rather than step too far out of his comfort zone. i have no doubt that in a very short time with the right amount of experience he will be superb. this cost us much time and effort. my belief is that sparklin had spread himself too thinly bby taking on too much. as a full time student he could not give us the time required and did not listen to the brief given............which is the cardinal sin!

Comments: Wow, I have to believe that I selected best provider for my job. He is so professional, has all the needed ethics and finished his job much before the promised time. He was very quick to contact me as soon as we started with this project, looked enthusiastic about providing me a quality job. And he really lived his words, I just gave him my company name and dictated my expectations from this logo. He is a surprising guy, within next hour he designed four, I must say very unique and creative graphics. Though I loved all of them, my greed went to its height and I requested some more options.
