Comments: Nic at Studio One is a resource of great skill and integrity. My requirements were quite challenging but Nic always delivered when others of less character might have failed. I have the greatest respect for Nic and his staff. He has a very flexible approach to working always taking the time to deliver quality code. My project was fixed price and some of the requirements ended up being more complex than first appear. However, Nic never complained or asked for additional payment, he simply took the time to get the job done right. He takes pride in delivery sites that are outstanding. I would have no hesitation in using him again in our developments. I give him the highest possible recommendation.

Comments: Overall - 10/10 on the final hand over and value for money. We did have problems with this project, a lot of things were out of each others control, it has been a bit of journey. However Nic and his team persevered and kept to their agreement. There were times when it was easier to walk away but they did not. The coding behind the scenes was massive and complicated. We are loyal future customers and consider Nic a friend not just a business partner. We have truly tested his dedication and he has won us over. Obvious qualities that stand out - appreciation of a project, thinking out of the box, excellent coding, dedication, loyalty and he is capable of doing pretty much anything we have thrown their way. Comments: My project was an existing php website that I need a design update and several additions to my admin functions. Nic and his team did an exceptional job! In addition to the coding they also designed a beautiful banner for my site. Nic kept me informed at every step and usually returned my e-mails within minutes, never more than a few hours. If I was not satisfied with anything they changed it with no complaint. They always asked if I was happy and offered to make any changes I wanted. When everything was done I found several small glitches, ( which I expected ) as it was a fairly complicated membership and email program. I had already paid Nic most of what I owed him so I expected a slow response, But I sent him the list on a Sunday, within minutes he responded will fix everthing tomorrow! Monday morning everthing was working perfectly. I have already used Nic again for a new project, I hope he does not get to busy to work on my future projects.

Comments: Overall good to work with. They were responsive. The only thing that I can say that they didnt meet expectations was in checking their work for error. We ended up finding and pointing out a lot of errors in the script. Also I think a little creativity could help. Otherwise they were very good and responded well to all our inquiries and gladly made needed changes.

Comments: I can not believe I am rating 10/10 as I am a openly very pedantic and critical of others, especially us. I believe that no one can be 100%. This is our 1st project on GAF and I would certainly not rate us as 10/10 but we have learnt a lot. For Nic's "OVERALL" package taking in to account the price, features, honesty, patience, professionalism, politeness and incredible coding we could not be happier!! We were looking for a long term programmer to help us make our dreams a reality and we feel so fortunate to have found it first time. There were some small niggles which we have addressed, like attention to detail, timing and communication, these will always happen in a large project. This is mostly down to learning one another's expectations and working methodology and we too take responsibility for the niggles.  » nicusornicolae's reply: This was a big badness, this buyer is not serious: He asked for clone after virtualtourist.com (see the project description). We made it as he asked (I can show you the link of this project on our server, where all are working good, the problem is with the buyer's server who is very slow), he tested it and he say is Ok - also he payed the work after this. After some time he asked me to make the website again in Drupal - that is complet different like virtualtourist. If he had asked first for Drupal I didn't accepted this project... Also, i didn't rated the buyer because I guess the vengeance isn't a good thing...

Comments: This was my first experience using this kind of service. Nicolae providede everything he promised. If anything, I was the "slow" party in this transaction, as I did not have enough time to quickly respond to the questions, and to provide adequate input into the process. I have no problems recommending nicolae to others.

Comments: The communication from this developer was terrible. Project started on 4-26-2006 and to be completed in 60 days. I cancelled the project on 8-16-2006 almost 2 months overdue and still no completed project. Nic, asked me for release of payment before the site was even functional and continued to ask a few more times. I felt like a big fish he hooked and drug around the entire time, sometimes I would feel like the guy is working and other times not, but "in my opinion he wanted me to deposit the entire escrow and had no intention of completing the website." "In my opinion he was going to get 100% escrowed and then cancel and get $2500 US." "In my opinion I believe Nic to be a crook". I will not tell you not to use Nic as a service provider, but I am telling you the experience I had with Nic and the realities that surrounded my project.
 » nicusornicolae's reply: It is very interesting how this kind of guys are traying to have benefits with no money! I asked Dan Gillispie to split the money amount and escrow parts of them and pay us on the modules (design/graphics, backend, CMS...), when this are done. He has deposited just 20%, he tested our work all time (I have the messages) and only when we were done with the entire project he said he didn't like it and will not pay us, but asked me to give him the sources and the codes - otherwise he will write a bad review (and he did it :) ). I guess he didn't have the money and tried to have a $5000 work for nothing. It is my fault I didn't stop the development when I saw he did not wish to pay the first module… I learned something from this experience, I hope other developers who read this can learn to this too...
