Incomplete Report: This user has failed to deliver any articles at all. He/She accepted our project offer on 8/26 but never responded to further correspondence. I sent them an email immediately after they accepted to explain the project (on 8/26) and a follow-up on 9/1. This user was supposed to write 10 articles in three days for us and we haven't heard from them at all.
 » mangel's reply: I never received any email or any form of correspondence from buyer. PMB contains only 1 PM sent by me. I kept waiting for his instructions, and sent emails to the buyer but never received a reply. I believe buyer has made some confusion with regard to providers since multiple providers have been selected for this project.

Comments: I have ordered almost 10 translation from GAFL, this was BY FAR, the worst. Entire sentences were left out. Other parts were combined, making it difficult to replace the native text with the translation. On top of all this, the provider became "ill" during the project and the 2 day deadline turned into 2 weeks!
 » mangel's reply: I have native level mastery of both languages and culture, and I understand that not every word can be translated literally. I made this translation as creative as possible, especially since it's a short story and not a technical paper. The buyer does not understand French language at all ... which explains his comment about 'parts' being left out. I guess he expected literal translations so that he could just replace each word of the English text with the French one. And yes, I had AH1N1 while working on this project.

Incomplete Report: Provider talked the talk but didn't walk the walk. Promised the turnaround of articles in 2-3 days and then canceled the project saying he was unable to understand what the articles had to be written about. Note to all Providers, please read the projects before aimlessly bidding on projects like a robot!
 » mangel's reply: Buyer did not provide details about the topics / niche and selected me for the project, after which he sent a series of complex, technical papers to rewrite. I was honest enough to cancel the project rather than providing substandard work.

Comments: Articles are well written however it took much longer for them to be delivered then agreed upon. On May 19th we agreed that the 15 article would be written and delivered in 10 days. Today is June 13th and I just got them. So overall, good writer, long turnaround.

Wanted $150 to complete a project that we reached a mutually agreed upon price of $40 for. This guy was also very rude and non responsive and I will advice everyone to stay away from him.  » mangel's reply: This is the message that I had to send GAF Support so that they cancel the project.(You can check it, the project had been cancelled by Site Administrator). It explains everything. Project: 'articles for MANGEL (15000 words) - project number 441309' by service buyer 'content101'. This buyer posted a project and I placed my bid on his project. He contacted me through PM and discussed about 1500 words of content, and I agreed at a rate of $40. He then posted the above private project for me, but for 15000 words of content. I didn't notice that and placed my bid at $40, as we had discussed. From there, I have been begging him to reconsider the rate of payment to a minimum of $0.01 per word, or to cancel the project, but he has been blackmailing me with a negative review, forcing me to deliver at such an unreasonable rate.

 » mangel's reply: This buyer disappeared after I had done his work. I had to ask GAF to release escrow. He mailed back after 3 weeks to ask if I had got my money and I said nothing. I completed his work within a few hours. I have no idea why he gave me a 9! He says "translation seems accurate". Well it's really not my fault if he doesn't understand French, I wonder how he allows himself to judge my work...

 » mangel's reply: The scientific terms were not really the reason why I decided not to do the project. The service buyer was postulating for an academic job & he had given me his CV to translate. My mothertongue is French but I come from a British system of education, which is why I was not feeling confident enough to do this translation. Being in an academic position myself, I realise what an inaccurate translation would imply.
