Writing ability is part talent and part learned skill. My resume reflects solid educational success, and extensive corporate experiences. I am a nationally recognized scholar and am included in the Who's Who of American Colleges and Universities. I conducted primary research on feral cat social structure and communication signals and reported my findings in an academic forum. My skill set includes excellent client relationships and the ability to work independently, quickly and accurately. I am self-directed, deadline driven, and able to produce writing that accurately reflects the client’s corporate philosophy and voice.
As a business plan writer, I excelled at in-depth industry research and analysis. I wrote or edited in excess of 200 projects with a 96% client rated success rate. These projects resulted in financial funding for clients and required tight, concise writing that sparked reader interest. Recently a client completed raising $3 million in funding for their project, based on the business plan I edited and formatted. A vast majority of our clients required formatting and power point presentations that clearly outlined goals.
I created and implemented a corporate newsletter that provides factual information for business services clients (recent articles included: reading a balance sheet, developing a strong relationship with your banker, how to choose funding sources and hiring the first assistant). The newsletter attracted over 100 subscribers in its initial 60 day launch and maintains a 90% retention rate.
My rewrite of the corporate website increased potential client contact and conversions by 17%.
Editing experiences include published articles, novels, and non-fiction books. Communication kit experiences include a national book launch. I coordinated all press releases and publicity for this launch that resulted in pre-publishing sales. I am published and a successful radio commercial writer.
