Jong Pairez (b. 1978) is an artist, digital photographer, graphic designer, writer and an aspiring filmmaker working in New Media Art. Pairez has produced short digital video documentaries and 8mm film productions that tries to simulate the environment where sound and images is crucial in re-creating imposed Geographies. His works were mainly produced between Tokyo and Manila. In May 2008, he was recently awarded a scholarship grant by EngageMedia for its week long workshop on FOSS Software Development and Online video distribution, the workshop was held in Indonesia under the tutelage Transmission Asia Pacific.
