I have benefited from an eclectic personal and employment history and enjoy writing about topics of interest and I'm interested in numerous topics. As an executive assistant I've drafted a wide range of business documents including (but not limited to) reports, presentations, spreadsheets, correspondence as well as employee handbooks and training manuals. As a freelance writer I have researched and generated articles of various lengths for an assortment of non-fiction purposes. I have also written fiction in the form of short stories and poetry for my personal pleasure. While many find creation through the written form tedious and time consuming, I find it fascinating and rewarding.

I am also inquisitive about businesses and have found bookkeeping to be the basis of almost all business decisions as well as the most detailed method for learning the ‘nuts and bolts’ of a successful enterprise. Although applications of accounting are as varied as the businesses they serve, most entrepreneurs do not include 'bean counting' as part of their initial vision, however necessary it may be. While my background includes public and private bookkeeping, I have applied my accounting perspective to business operations such as project oversight and reporting, systems and production evaluation, and human resources, to obtain a more complete vision of the business entity overall. I am most experienced in QuickBooks but have used other software applications as well as the 'tried and true' manual ledger entry.
