I have studied Graphic design at New College Durham for the past 2 years and have a strong interest in art and design. In my spare time I moderate for a number of websites.

Skills and achievements

Having completed one year of childcare I have experience of working with small children and parents in a school and nursery environment.

I am computer literate in Windows XP/Vista, Mac OSX and UBUNTU Linux and software such as adobe photoshop, illustrator, word packages, power point and databasing.

I have completed a 2 year National Diploma course in graphic design and feel confidant using the skills I have gained though out my time there.

Work Experience

Delves Lane Primary School May 2006 (12 days)- I spent a my time there working with year 2 children and helped a small group of special needs children with their literacy and numeracy tasks.

Delves Lane Nursary School April 2006 (31 days) - I Spent my time there working with 3 to 5 year old children and especially enjoyed leading a task where the children made easter bouquets for their parents.

Leadgate Primary School 2005 (24 days)- I spent my time working with a reception class, I read with the children and helped them with their work.

Delves Lane Junior School May 2004 (5 days) - I spent my time working with a variation of classes and helped with art, office work, reading and numeracy. I also helped preparation of a world foods day.

Interests

I am very interested in graphic design, photography and animals.
I am a forum moderator for local Durham freecycle, an online organization that spans world wide for free exchange of used items and also for a small animal forum.
