User Profile

I am a Canadian entrepreneur, with over ten years experience operating my own online businesses - one a successful content/online store site (sold in 2007); the other a Website and graphic design business. I have installed and modified both osCommerce and CRE Loaded sites, and also created osC modifications which have been well received.

I have also built Joomla-based sites, installed templates and other plugins, and made custom modifications.

I am familiar with PHP and CGI and can install and configure a variety of scripts / contributions / modules. (Please note that I'm not a programmer though.)

Photoshop is my tool of choice for graphic design.

In many cases, my clients ask me to provide original content for their sites. In order to do so, I learn as much as possible about my client’s business and the topic at hand. Where content is client-supplied, I proofread and edit the text to ensure that their message is delivered in a clear and concise manner. My attention to detail and investigative/research skills are highly praised by my employers and clients alike.

I am also proficient in designing and customizing Facebook Fan Pages using FBML (Facebook Markup Language).

I believe that communication is critical to success, and will provide contact information (Email, phone, MSN Instant Messenger) upon request.

I also have over 30 years of experience as a secretary, paralegal, and administrative assistant. I am a fast, accurate typist/keyboarder with a net speed of 110 wpm, and have 20+ years experience with audio/voice transcription. I have an excellent command of the English language and the ability to proofread and edit articles, letters and other documents. I work efficiently with MS Word, Excel, and Publisher, as well as Open Office.
