Topic : India at 2015
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/3367497.cms
Our power generation capacity of hundred thousand mega watts has to be doubled by 2015. Desalination plants can be co-located with the future nuclear power plants for converting seawater to drinking water. We need to establish large solar farms in many areas to augment energy generation. India in 2015 should have corruption-free governance led by bright, young, capable individuals with a vision for national development.

My sister and I once went to Kumaran Stores to purchase sarees for my wedding. I was totally smitten by a silk cotton saree with a unique pallu and jari work. But to my disappointment, the saree had been purchased by someone else. I was quite upset and was stepping out when the store manager asked us to wait for some time. I was quite clueless why he did that and then came the surprise. The store manager brought out a saree for me – the exact replica of the one I had desired. I was absolutely thrilled and stepped out of the store a happy and satisfied customer. I cherish this one particular experience and always remember the way the store ensured customer satisfaction and retention.
Topic : Civic sense and you

Civic sense is the need of the hour to address common problems of unclean surroundings, contaminated drinking water and irresponsible garbage disposal. When there are no or inadequate dustbins, garbage is thrown on the roads. This leads to mosquito menace and diseases such as malaria and dengue spread. We need an awareness campaign about garbage disposal. This can be done in a phased manner in different localities through posters and by involving children who are the best brand ambassadors for any social awareness campaign. Schools and homes also play a vital role. The Government should provide dustbins and impose penalty for littering.
