> Global pharmaceutical company needed a system to manage suppliers. In response, I developed a customized Supplier Management System (utilizing my MS Access, VBA, ADO skills) enabling company buyers to track suppliers, contacts and raw material items purchased from suppliers. Result: Global pharmaceutical company buyers can quickly access supplier historical data and track changes in supplier name and supplier contacts.
> Global pharmaceutical company needed to trace the origin of manufacture for raw material items purchased from Suppliers. In response, I developed a small application that uploaded raw material items data received from Suppliers on MS Excel spreadsheets into MS Access. The inputs received from Suppliers were harmonized and validated through numerous tools and reports created. Result: Users can determine the country of origin for the raw material items.
> I developed for JPMorgan Chase an application that generated a series of customized reports. Reports are based on data gathered from a backend SQL Server database via ODBC queries via stored procedures and complex SQL queries. Reports are exported to MS Excel workbooks. Additional reports are generated within Excel by extracting data from front-end Access database via ODBC queries and SQL statements.
> Created an Access form template to create expense reports (11 different expense types) based on data from backend MSSQL 2000 database. Utilized T-SQL code to filter data in MSSQL environment, then manipulated data in Access using VBA to create recordsets to more efficiently gather and format data into desired report format.
> Utilized my MS Access, VBA and SQL skills to design and program a royalty reporting database that calculated artist royalty liabilities. Collected, validated and manipulated data covering 5 years of revenue/expense data for 6,000 songs, 700 record albums, 200 artists, and 600 artist-recording contracts. Result: Artist royalty liabilities of $63,000 were 1/10th of previous estimate which enabled sale of catalog by resolving purchaser’s major concern.
> Using my MS Access, VBA and MS Excel skills, I created a MS Access program showing pricing/risk data for thousands of items. Main interface was a form with many subforms allowing users to manipulate data. Users could export data to MS Excel worksheets automatically formatted to their specifications. Users could make changes to Excel spreadsheets and reimport data to MS Access.
> Using my MS Access, MSSQL, VBA, MS Excel skills, I created a series of reports in MS Access using data from vendor MSSQL 2000 database. Reports could be viewed in MS Access or downloaded to MS Excel. Customized MS Excel templates automatically formated the report data to customer specifications. Within MS Access, users could filter reports to select data on selected clients. Users could also automatically email reports in Excel spreadsheet format (formatted as desired within Excel) to selected recipients without having to open Email programs and without triggering security dialog boxes. If so desired, users can chosse to export the reports to CSV text files.
> Using my Excel and VBA skills, I designed a small, automated program that gathered and reformatted data from over 400 different websites, Over 100,000 records were created from the data. The program automatically ran three times weekly from the Windows task manager interface.
