My name is James West and I am a hard working writer, editor, and new media specialist. I am a recent graduate with three years experience writing for and editing professional websites and publications. I have excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.

I am a writer, I am a compassionate intellectual, I am willing and able, excited to learn everything about your company and how to communicate its mission to the world.

My work and education as a writer is varied and always the focal point of what I do with my life. I graduated December '07 from the University of Utah with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism. Throughout college, I continued to write for newspapers, websites, and literary publications. I was the Editor in Chief of my University's literary journal which was entirely student run. I have written and studied creative writing extensively and have always found those interests to be a great asset when writing across other genres. I have written many types of articles and reports ranging from travel to marketing and political copy. As a writer I have learned to be dependable and meticulous with details and deadlines. You can count on me to be honest, productive, and ambitious.

I am also a photographer: I have worked for Nature's Best Photography Magazine in Washington, D.C., was a staff photographer and dialy web manager for Sugarloaf Ski Resort in Maine, and have my own creative portfolio. I am able to design many types of marketing materials from start to finish using photoshop and InDesign.
