Maine expertise is in HTML / XHTML & CSS, which all go hand in hand with SEO. No BLACK HAT techniques are used in getting a website to the top pages of the major search engines. No project is started until the site as valid code. After fixing any code errors a full report will be compiled and the changes needed to obtain a higher place on the search engines index will be put into place. In order to gain a high PR a link structure needs to be implemented, this is where the majority of SEO companies just go out and exchange links with any webmasters that are agreeable to do so. This can in fact do more harm than good if you have links from sites containing different subject matter to yours then they will not be placed as a highly rated site so you will not get into the top ten pages. Link pages in my opinion are on the way out, back links are more important that is one way in links. A site with links in from good sites is always going to get a better PR then one with thousands of links from poor quality pages. This can be done by using article sites and the likes of Squidoo to point links to your site as well as gaining more possible visitors.
WARNING
A lot of SEO agents well get you to NUMBER ONE IN GOOGLE! With search words that no one is using and not many sites are optimised towards them, no point being on the top if no one sees you.
