particular fuzzy logic), of pattern-recognition algorithms for high-energy physics (5th group ‘fuzzy’ - INFN).

On the 'field'...
Supervision and control systems for woodworking machinery (Partners & Customers). Software for accounting. As a freelance and as an employee. ESA Software srl – Rimini. This is a major italian company for IT. Senior software Engineer/Project Manager.

Scientific activities
Scientific consultant for S.F.I.R. s.p.a. (a sugar manufacturing industry): Design of fuzzy logic algorithms for sugar extraction from beets. Feasibility and development
of a knowledge based decision support system that then led to the first realization of an
automated intelligent control system in the italian industry.

Researcher at the Radioastronomy Institute / National Research Council (C.N.R.). 18 months at contract plus 1 year as a freelance. Recruited in order to accomplish an analytic and compared study about modern spectral techniques in the field of digital signal processing to face the problem of software post-processing for radio-interference detection and mitigation (European program “Enhancing the European VLBI Network of Radio Astronomy” - contract: FMGE-CT98-0101). Realizing two spectrometer monitoring systems (“Sentinel 1” and “Sentinel 2”) embedded into DSP boards (TI C62) and controlled by a PC host, heading a team of students, supervising diplomas, showing the project in workshops and conferences (Bologna, Bonn and Manchester), writing documentation, reports and papers, actively partecipating, as a parallel task, to the SETI program (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) working on pattern-recognition algorithms for the SERENDIP IV high resolution spectrometer.

INAF (National Institute for Astrophysics) senior software engineer: design and study of advanced signal processing techniques for SETI.

Technologist at INFN/CNAF. EGEE project: design, development and analysis for the
gLite Workload Management System.
