Social Experience
An internship in UOB Group for 4 and half a month to help them to develop a defect and change request tracking system using ALBPM, Oracle and WebLogic. The main task of the internship is to develop a system for them to gather both change requests on their current systems and defects occurred in daily work. To develop the system, we are using ALBPM, which is developed by BEA Company. And the tool is designed for developing Business Process. You can easily integrate JSPs and some other Java or Dot Net components with your project.
Projects during my course
On Java:
A library system: using the system you can find books, loan books, track loan status, return books maintain storage and calculate fine for no-return situation.
My responsibility was to develop the “searching books for loan“, “login security” and “maintain books” parts. And the final integration was mainly performed by me.
To develop the project we using tomcat as the web sever, mySQL as the database server, eclipse as the IDE. And we base on J2EE, hibernate framework talk with database.
A health tracking system (on J2me): A small application base on J2me that can be installed into a cell phone to record you daily healthy status and give you advice about what kind of food should be avoided regarding your healthy status.
On Dot Net:
Online watches selling website and a system for a stationary store
For the online watch website, we developed the website base on asp.net 2.0 platform. And we have shopping cart and online searching features in the website.
For the stationary system, the system is used by a stationary store of an university, so it’s a internal system. Using the system different departments of the university can order stationeries from the store. The store staffs with use the system to broadcast the information about distributing and collecting the stationary and also they can track stock level by using it. The system is divided into two parts: asp.net part and win form part. The asp part is for departments’ usage inside the university to order stationeries which is mainly developed by me. This part mainly has four functionalities: order stationeries, approve order, delegate to other clerks to perform the manager’s right and generate “Order Forms”. Techniques used: asp.net security mechanism, crystal report and TableAdapters.
