MECHANICAL ENGINEER with 8 years of design experienced with solid background of CATIA® V4/V5 on the design of automotive parts: Structural Components & Reinforcement, Seating & Interior systems, and Vehicle Sealing Systems. Actively involved in the design of automotive parts (matl’s: plastics, sheetmetal, BIW, foam, epdm, etc) such as door trims, headliner, flooring and insulation components, complete seat package, configurable consoles, overhead consoles, and glass modules. Knowledge in working with dimensional standard ASME / ANSI Y 14.5M in previous Chrysler programs and experienced in plastic injection molding.

Created studies/research/benchmark and reverse engineered product (interiors and seating system components) against other OEM on same platform. Assesses costs, product concepts, strengths and weaknesses of alternative designs and design trade-offs, by obtaining, stripping down and analyzing other products, identify performance gaps, thus develop better results, more robust design concept, process improvement and achieve improved innovation without compromising safety, standards, function, performance and comforts.

Evaluates the performance and overall function of each parts, applying relative procedures and standards Optimizing the overall design process, performing DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) which enable to detect the possible failure prior to completing the design, and then use this information to design out or mitigate the causes of failure thus creating innovation, better and more robust concept thus adding values and reduces cost.
