Currently:

Writing articles on a variety of subjects and working on getting four books (cook-books and diet books) published.

Earlier:

• Have worked briefly as an English teacher teaching Std. IX students in 1970.

• Did sales promotion work on an assignment basis.

• Have been writing since 1973, articles on food, health, diet, nutrition, feature articles, columns on careers, and other types of columns. Written regularly for publications like Newstime, Newstrek, Evening News, Eve’s Weekly, Indian Express, Sun, Woman’s Era, Savvy, Mystery, Free Press Bulletin, Mid-day, Afternoon Despatch and Courier and many other publications, including newspapers and magazines. Did columns for various publications.

• In 2002, I was running a catering business in partnership.

• From 1993-1995, started and ran La Pizzeria, a Pizza Parlour.

• Helped my mother run her cookery classes.

• In 1983 was working as Assistant Editor for the house magazine of a major hotel in Mumbai.

• Between 1981 and 1982 was working as Editorial Assistant for a magazine dealing with the supernatural, Mystery.

• In 1981 also brought out a house magazine for a computer firm.

• During the gaps have almost always been writing on a freelance basis and/or working on my books.

• One book, The Snack-Time Cookbook, was published by India Book House in 1979 and ran into 8 editions, before IBH closed down its cookery section.

• Another book, Count Your Calories to Slim and Stay Slim, was published in 1983.

• Have written two other books, Great Party Menus and Save Your Heart Diet, and am in the process of getting them published and also getting the out of print books republished.

• Have taught English language and literature privately to students.

• Have done content writing for web sites.

* Completed certificate course in dietetics.

• Completed Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism.

* Completed Graduation in English Honours and French.

• Completed I.S.C. (Senior Cambridge).
