I am capable of writing both creatively and technically. I have years of experience doing research of all sorts. I am a former English teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology (Minors: Poetry, PreLaw), a paralegal certificate, police academy completion certificate, and sexual assault advocate/counselor certificate. I am currently taking a 60-hour course in Editing/Proofreading to further my skills in that area. Additionally, I am starting a Master's of Fine Arts in Writing this summer. I have written press releases, articles, poetry, editorials, legal briefs, web content, newsletters, brochures, resumes, and proofread/edited many projects. With years of competitive debate and public speaking experience, I have taught debate workshops and can write (and deliver) speeches and presentations. Also, I currently facilitate a monthly writing workshop. Rates are negotiable. My husband Octavio and I colloborate on all Spanish/English translations. Octavio grew up in Mexico speaking only Spanish until he was 11. With almost 20 years of living in the United States, Octavio is fluent in both Spanish and English.
