Interactive Voice Response System For College Automation (IVRS)

Now-a-days every institution needs automation. As a part of college automation, i have decided to do a project “Voice Interactive System for College Automation”. my project allows the user to know the student’s attendance and marks quickly through the telephone line without the intention of the college authority. In the hardware side embedded system has been used. A 20 pin microcontroller 89C2051 is used because of its compatibility with our hardware. This microcontroller controls the whole hardware. Telephone line is used for communication purpose. Visual Basic has been used for software programming. Presentation in the class and outcome of the university are made reachable to the parents by our project. It will be very obliging to the parents to be acquainted with their son’s/daughter’s recital in the college.

Digital IC Tester

“DIGITAL IC TESTER” deals with the testing of ICs. This is realized by using 8051 Micro controller systems. The chip tester in this proposal tests 74XXX series, 4XXX using 2 separate tests and consists of two parts, software and hardware. The software portion of the tester is a set of test files for the ICs families of chips and a program to interface with the micro controller contained within the hardware portion of the tester. The electronic portion of the tester consists of a micro controller, which interfaces with the chip under test through a ZIF socket.
Electronic Cash Register (ECR)

The Electronic Cash Register (ECR) keeps track of sales transactions quickly and effectively. An abundance of PLUs (Price Look Ups) and department keys accommodate a variety of merchandise items. This means a faster, more accurate check out process and the ability to manage a wider variety of goods and services more efficiently. And with features like fast, attractive receipt print outs and an easy-to-view LCD operator display, the ECR makes managing the business a pleasure. The system runs on the full speed provided by the microcontroller. It runs at the speed of 24MHz. so the sales Transactions are done very fast and the system only take 3secs to search the Bill from the 512KB Memory IC, the printing also done very fast by using the microcontroller.

Industrial Automation over Internet.

Ethernet is rapidly gaining momentum in industrial automation. The advantage of Ethernet is that we can remotely monitor, manage and control equipment over the network or Internet. This improves efficiency by providing real-time access and control of all types of industrial automation equipment from virtually anywhere. In this product I automate a Refrigeration System. The heart of a refrigeration system is the compression equipment. Refrigeration compressors are very critical to proper operation of the system, and therefore require special attention to ensure that they are efficiently servicing the load. The system monitors the Temperature of the storage room and it keep the temperature of the storage room according to the preset temperature. The system can be fully controlled by PC over LAN or through Internet.

Moving Message Display

Moving Message Displays are ideal for all type of commercial establishments like Hotels, Restaurants, Retail Shops, Banks, Airports, Clinics, Hospitals and other such places to get maximum attention of people. These displays attract customers to watch the display with curiosity and your scrolling message also is conveyed simultaneously. The Messages are scrolled over the Dot matrix LED display with several styles such as Flash, Roll, Snow fall, Sparkle, Spray etc. The messages are entered by the Standard Computer Keyboard.

PC Based RFID Attendance System

RFID attendance system is designed to automate employee time and attendance for small- to medium-sized businesses. The software designed in Visual basic can be customized to your business needs and is scalable to grow with your business. It dramatically reduces the number of hours it takes to process employee timekeeping. The system works with a variety of employee time clocks, allowing you to choose the optimum way to capture employee time. All clocks have an integrated network (Ethernet) connection eliminating the need and cost of a dedicated PC that systems with just a serial connection require. The software allows your company to: • Track employee time (time in and out, lunch, breaks, overtime, holidays, and absences). • Set up rules governing how employee time is accounted for (rounding, early in or out, overtime). • Reduce the debate and abuse of a manual system. o Eliminate inflated labour hours and buddy punching (with biometric time clock).

PC Remote Control

The convenience of selecting TV channels using your remote and then pointing the same remote to your Computer so that you can control the whole system using the single remote control. The Following functions can be done with PC Remote control. All Numerical Keys (0 - 9) Arithmetic Keys (+, -, /, *) Enter, Escape, Help, Refresh, Caps lock, Tab, Back space, delete, Left, Right, Up, down arrows, Page up, Page down, Window keys. Calculator, Notepad CD drive Open/Close Control panel Computer log off, reboot or shutdown Volume Up, down, Mute 5 User defined Programs.

Temperature Logger

Mainly designed for using in Blood Banks.
