• Edited, standardized, and revised material prepared by other technical writers and staff. Prepared layout of material for publications in a variety of page layout software applications such as FrameMaker, Pagemaker, and Quark.
• Prepared rough drafts of publications for review with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and end users. Responsible for the publication process including graphics, layout, and adherence to defined document designs
• Wrote test scripts, software documentation, tutorials, and user manuals. Created and edited Web pages for intranets, and extranets.
• Wrote Computer Based Training materials for the “Train The Trainer” component of the TRAC2ES Lift Bed Planner medical evacuation application that resulted in a 66 percent efficiency improvement to the training session.
• Developed/managed a process that provided simultaneous content for hardcopy, CD-ROM, and Web sites that resulted in a 75 percent efficiency improvement to the documentation development process.
• Designed proposal development processes and written proposal that have generated $50 million in contract and joint-venture-awards.
• Designed and developed documentation templates for engineering teams that reduced the product-spec-to-user-manual effort that resulted in a 20 percent process efficiency improvement.
• Began my writing career as a professional journalist with over 150 published articles in various journals and publications. My interviewing skills were well established for my technical writing background through years of experience as a journalist.
• Composed documents from Computer Validation group for computer systems.
