I have many years experience in the law, broking/finance and investment management, which called for the assimilation, integration and resolution of many legal and regulatory diktats. I researched and wrote investment reports upon companies, their products and competitors, in several sectors, including hydrocarbons, publishing, spirits, manufacturing and broadcasting. Skills that I have acquired and practised throughout my career include fact checking, sub-editing and proof-reading, as well as the drafting and approval of contracts and other commercial and legal documentation. I am meticulous on detail, and work accurately and to deadlines. In editing and sub-editing I seek to achieve clarity by the excision of all ambiguity and verbosity, so providing a clear, concise and consistent rendition. My proof-reading skills – in both UK and US English spelling and idiom – are excellent. I undertake editing and proof-reading assignments either through MS Word’s Track Changes function – with a 'clean' copy attached – or by reference to page and line(s) in a separate table.
