IT PROJECTS • TCO: I participated in this project developing automated applications’ installers based on Microsoft Windows Installer, and other installers, as well as performing automated configuration scripts. • PAMPA - Web Site Development: Web Site designed, developed and implemented in 3 different versions: o v1.0: VB.NET 2003 and SQL Server 2000. One site only o v2.0: CSharp 2003 and SQL Server 2000. The web site was divided in three fully integrated but independent sites given the new complexity of the process. o v3.0: CSharp and Oracle 10G. The three web site were modified to run over Microsoft Application Center 2000. All the versions included a reporting module which allows users to create fully customizable reports and also export them to Microsoft Excel. Also, this module generates chart reports. This application was developed to handle the workload of an IT Area and keep tracking of it activity. • Mail Traffic Control: AddIn for Microsoft Outlook 2000 which audits the email usage and offer an option to share attachment(s) bigger than x Mb through an FTP server. It is developed in VBA and CSharp (this last one hasn’t been implemented yet) • Mail Traffic Control - Reporting Web Site: “Mail Traffic Control” Web based reporting tool to generate email usage charts and drill-down reports. It is developed in CSharp and Oracle 10G. It has a hook component to insert auditory emails into the DB. • Knowledge Base: Developed in CSharp and Oracle 10G. It’s a web based knowledge where users are able to publish documents and search based on keywords, title and file/URL name. The documents are stored into the DB. It’s compatible with Microsoft Application Center 2000. • DataCollector: Reporting tool for system administrators, it doesn’t require any agent and it collects information from the clients PCs (Altiris Agent version, Last Report Date against the server, Antivirus status, Service Pack level, Administrators, Virus Definitions, etc). Also it does an evaluation of the PC. It is able to run as batch process or with GUI. • X-Agent: It has not been developed yet but it is designed and in business case phase. This application will automatically evaluate the PC status and correct security deviations. Also it will provide a deployment system for stand alone PCs without access to the corporate network. • PDL Administration for HP OpenMail: Application developed to manage PDLs in HP Openmail running over HP UNIX servers. It is able to add and remove users from PDLs. • ScreenSaver: Corporate Screensaver. It was developed using Macromedia Flash 8 • Migration to Microsoft Exchange 2003: I participated in Exchange Project developing utilities to minimize the impact in the final users when we were migrating from HP OpenMail to Microsoft Exchange 2003. Some of these utilities are: Contact Migrator, Offline Address Book deployment (for limited bandwith sites), PST Auditor, Email Account configuration auditor, etc) • PST Splitter: Application developed to split PSTs in a given email profile into “n” PSTs of “m” size. • FTP Server: FTP Server with limited functions developed in CSharp to replace a shareware FTP Server. • Outlook Contacts Administrators: This application allows to share contacts information between Outlook users. Contacts are stored in a Microsoft Access DataBase and users are able to import them into the DB or export them from the DB to Microsoft Outlook. • Administrators Utilities: Small utilities developed to help system administrators in their daily activities. Some of these tools are: o Goup Checker: it verifies if a user belongs to a given group o Windows Update Checker: it verifies if a Microsoft Security Patch is installed o Microsoft Office Application closer: it closes Office Applications opened by the user from the system context without losing the unsaved work. • Several Excel Macros they were developed in VBA to perform different calculations and apply a given format to a sheet.
