I founded and currently work with a growing company called INDIVERSE which provides promotion services. Although we're quite successful, the nature of the business leaves me with a fair amount of free time to pursue other endeavors and I've have decided to devote some part time energy to do some additional freelance work.
Over the past year, I've done some content creation and document design work for several local businesses. I drafted content for their websites and designed marketing materials. These businesses were as varied as energy efficient appliance sales, lighting distributors and property investors.
My writing background is fairly diverse from both formal education, previous work experience and the happenstance of life. I'm formally educated in public policy and international relations. My education also included a stint studying computer science, so tech writing is nothing foreign to me. I'm always looking for an extra job to pique my curiosity.
I require that funds be placed in escrow and released when the project is completed to your satisfaction.
I rely on a steady exchange of information back and forth with the client to ensure that projects are completed to full satisfaction. Depending on the type of project, my typical turn around is less than three days to a full week. I work on a single project at a time and rarely require longer than a five business days to complete a work request. Projects may take longer if the project wasn't accurately defined by the client or the requirements change. Both cases can be expected in certain circumstances, and I'm more than willing to be accommodating with the client to finish the project to their satisfaction.
A typical work flow for web content projects is as follows:
1. I begin by researching the general concept or individual topics required for the project.
2. I write and edit the articles and submit then to you for review.
3. I make any necessary rewrites and submit the finished product for final review.
The process usually takes three days. However, if there is a large number of requested changes, it may take longer.
A typical work flow for document design or layout projects is as follows:
1. I create an initial design and layout scheme based on your sample documents and graphics, then submit it to you for approval and input.
2. I make the desired changes and incorporate the content into the document.
3. I submit a completed draft of the document for review.
4. I make any additional changes.
The process should take roughly three to four business days depending on turn around time for communication between us.
