I am university-educated, have upgraded my skills as the opportunity required and have ten years teaching experience. My career has been versatile and includes work in primary school and college classrooms. I have worked with both children and adults who were challenged in their capacity to communicate. I have taught ESL and American sign language.
I stopped teaching when I had my two children and took advantage of my role as homemaker to take a course with the Institute of Children's Literature. This has facilitated a career change with the focus on writing and editing.
My writing experience began with work as an english editor for a translations company. Next, I found an opening in the magazine market for nonfiction, historical, scientific and otherwise educational articles for children's and young adult's publications. Currently, I work as an editor for a Health and Wellness company envisioned with building a resource library for teenagers. This position also includes writing keyword rich and knowledgeable material for Wellness Proposals.
