January 2006 to date ArtInSoft. Working as a contractor. Specifying, designing and developing a migration solution to transform console screens from a CA-ADS legacy application into a JSP - Javascript web pages running in a WebSphere Application Server. This migration solution was made using C# and XSLT. May 2005 to September 2005 Western Union. Analysis and design of the migration of a Lotus Notes web application to a Java J2EE web application using Struts and WebSphere Application Server. April 2002 to May 2005 Banco Central de Costa Rica – Sistema de Anotación en Cuenta. Design and development of a multi-bank financial system, known as the Sistema de Anotación en Cuenta. This is a WebLogic cluster based application. All the business logic is controlled by EJBs. The client is Swing based, downloaded using Java WebStart.- Administration of the WebLogic Application server. Define users, configurate services: connections pools, cluster and servers configurations. Also some Java development to interact with the server through its API using JMX. - Design and implementation of the comunication mechanism. This mechanism sends compressed XML through SSL to a servlet in the server. It serializes Value Objects using Castor (an open source XML binding library), and compreses the XML using the standard Java gzip library. The resulting bytes are sent openning a SSL socket and then following the HTTP 1.0 protocol. The XML identifies the method to be executed and it includes the parameters. When the servlet recieves the request it uses Java Reflection to executed the appropriate class. - Design and implementation of the authentication mechanism. It uses Java JNDI to communicate with the Iplanet Directory Server 5.1 (LDAP) to do the user authentication. When the authentication is done the resulting session object is saved in a static variable at the servlet, and an unique id is sent to the client using a cookie to authenticate further client´s requests. - Design and implementation of the project Webservices framework. This framework standarizes all the Webservices development defining: namespaces, September 2000 – April 2002 ArtinSoft. Technical leader in the design and development of an e-commerce application, targeting the integration of auction sites. Auction sites add a javascript that open a window bar, they pass some extra parameter that enable us to calculate the shipping cost of the items. When the checkout was done our server uses the Verisign payment service to charge the credit card. Application server Borland´s.
