Our Final Year Project was to computerize the Examinations and Results Sub System of Cadet College Kohat. Object Oriented Software Engineering was Applied and state of the art n-tier Architecture was used employing three layers of Domain tier, Data Access tier and User Interface Tier. The Controller Layer, however, was not used as it was not needed. Microsoft Visual Basic.Net was used as the development Tool to develop all the three layers / tiers. Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition was used as the back end and the data Access heavily relied on Stored Procedures. The project was successfully completed my VB 6.0 Projects include... UNICAR CALCULATOR: software to calculate a range of “down payments” and “monthly installments” for Union Bank’s UniCar car financing scheme (a friend’s request). ü2 ATTENDANCE TRACKER: Software to record and keep track of attendance of students in a class (any subject) and to generate reports based on the same. (Microsoft © Access on Back End) ü3 DOCTOR’S MESSENGER: A very simple Instant Messaging software for instant messaging on LAN and Internet. ü1 DOCTOR’S MEDIA PLAYER: A play list / album based media player inspired from Jet Audio 5 for personal use(under construction)
