I am a professional freelance writer, born and educated to university standard in the United Kingdom.

I hold a degree in both business studies and philosophy, I have travelled the globe extensively, and am able to bring both expertise and an open mind to every writing project I undertake.

My work is always well researched, unique, never plagiarised and of the highest quality.

I am capable of undertaking a very wide range of writing tasks, from simple search engine optimized text, to creative writing projects. Below I have outlined some of the types of work I have been commissioned to produce in the past.

Articles

My articles are designed to be informative and concise, whilst encouraging thought and consideration from the reader. Most people require articles of around 500 words in length, and I make sure that the article has a proper construction, depending upon the required article length, which will usually consist of an introduction, a body section and a summary or conclusion.

Press Releases

A press release must always have an underlying theme, covering a news worthy piece of information. A badly written press release will be refused for syndication by the better newswire sites, and needs to adhere to a strict set of guidelines. I write every press release to conform to guidelines set out by the major news sites such as PRWeb, ensuring that you will have no problems with submission.

Essays

Usually produced for students with English as a second language, who are finding the production of high quality, grammatically correct and informative course work a problem. In many ways this is some of the most challenging work I am asked to do. Often the subject matter is of something I am unfamiliar with, and I have to become an overnight expert in the field, in order to produce an essay that will be awarded high marks when handed in.

Technical

For me, technical writing is something I find easy, my work background has provided me with a plethora of skills which aid in the production of high quality technical literature. I spent 24 years in the IT industry, 9 of which were spent as a programmer, the rest in either technical support or project management. This experience has provided me with a firm background in technical writing.

Blog Posting

I am a guest poster at quite a few blogs, and enjoy the interaction that occurs with the blog subscribers once an article has been published. I try to write in a provocative manner, to encourage comment from the user base; this aids in community building and makes the blog seem more alive.

An interesting hybrid of SEO focused text and authoritative copy, website content is a tricky beast to approach at times. This is due to the fact that as it is read by visitors to the website, it needs to be clearly understandable and needs to grab the attention of the reader within a very short space of time. It also needs to be keyword focused and comply with the keyword theme of the website.

This kind of writing revolves around making sure a predefined set of keywords or key phrases are scattered throughout the text in a density of between 3% and 5%, purely targeted at pulling in organic search engine traffic, usually used as an article of press release. Product Reviews

Writing an authentic sounding product review can be challenging. Many writers make the mistake of overselling the product or service they are reviewing; this leads website visitors to assume that the review is simply a fake. By incorporating slight negative comments within the product review, which are immediately negated by a following high point, the reader is far more likely to perceive the review as authentic. All of the product reviews I produce conform to the client’s requirement on slant and focus, as well as incorporate “call to action” style content, designed to entice the reader into purchasing the product.
