Description:-In this module work has been done for enhancement of AGPS(Accelerated Global Positioning System) Scripts to run over TCP/IP using (Position Determination Data Messages) PDDM instead of only existed Data Burst Message. Before in the system which was upgraded the IS-801 Protocol Stack(PDE) provided a mechanism to transmit and receive IS-801 messages only in the Data burst Messages to and from Position Location Test Scripts. According to clients requirement A-GPS Test System had to be enhanced so that the IS-801 Protocol Stack also provides a mechanism to transmit and receive Messages over the TCP/IP Transport Layer. We had made various changes in the AGPS Test system to enable the Position Location Scripts to run over TCP/IP. We had designed and developed the TCP/IP Server “TCPTransportService” as per the “gpsOne TM TCP wrapper Protocol Version 1.0”.

This system, Enterprise Resource Information system is a pre-requisite for ERP.This system helps the organization in decision making and maintaining online information about various Departments like Human Resources, Finance &Accounts, Marketing, Inventory, Personnel, Industrial, Mechanical, Material dept, Dispatch dept. It records and maintains all the necessary information about all the departments. This software maintains the information, which can be shared by four manufacturing units and marketing offices of NFL.

Have prepared a white paper on implementation of ERP in National Fertilizers Limited in which I have identified the best way for implementation of ERP and have evaluated ERP vendors which suited best for our requirements. And have identified and pointed out the business processes of National Fertilizers Limited.


ACADEMIC PROJECTS / COLLOQUIUM

• Linux Virtual File System Module to Support Merging of Directories

Overview: The aim of this project is to develop a virtual file system module which will provide a merged view of two or more directories. A virtual file system is a kernel software layer that handles all the system calls related to a standard Linux file system. It provides a common and consistent interface to several kinds of file systems. In this work, an interesting problem of merging different directories (can be from different file systems) is solved. The base concept used is merge the directories as a separate file system and then such a file system can be made accessible by mounting it at some directory.
