User Profile

My work and study background mainly revolves around various positions within Information Technology. I have previously worked within many different aspects of IT; from data entry/database maintenance, via webdesign (from small projects to full-scale website construction and maintenance), to programming, retrieving, and analysing various forms of database data. I have vast experience within HTML and SQL, and I’m also competent in certain programming tasks within the Java, CSS and XML environments. Furthermore, during my career as a webdesigner, I have learned the basics of PHP and some Perl.

Aside from my background in IT, I have also worked as a journalist for the Norwegian publisher Bjørgu, who publishes magazines focused towards the construction and transport businesses.

Furthermore, I have much experience with administrative tasks and office work in general.
I’ve also gained valuable insight and experience within the areas of financial reporting, accounting, book-keeping and customer service.

My years of studying in Newcastle, coupled with my period working for IBM, has taught me a great deal about various types of work, especially within group work and projects. During my period in Muztang as a webdesigner, I also learned how to efficiently work independently on my own. Furthermore, the periods at Muztang and Bjørgu has taught me to work under extreme pressure, as I was constantly encountering strict deadlines.

Language skills are a necessity in almost any field of work, and with my background from the journalist business – as well as my three years of studying in Newcastle, England – I have become fluent in English and Norwegian. I am also currently learning Spanish at an intermediate/advanced level.

I see myself as tidy and effective, and I enjoy hectic and tight periods. I’m also an outgoing person, and am not afraid to take initiative when needed.
