Wordpress (Music Playlist Publishing) Plugin
I need a Wordpress plugin to gives me the ability to publish mixtapes. A mixtape is a compilation of songs recorded in a specific order, traditionally onto a compact audio cassette or CD, in other words it's a music playlists; I want the ability to publish the mixtapes right from the “Wight Post” page in Wordpress. Below I describe in detail all that is required for this plugin work efficiently and consume the least amount of time it takes to publish a mixtape.

Playlist MP3 Player:
I need an mp3 flash player to play the mixtapes; I would like it to look and function similar to the Imeem.com playlist player (image attachment below).

The player should display the following:
•A list of the tracks for that particular mixtape
•The title of each track
•Artist(s)
•Image (i.e. Album cover)
•Track number
•Play, Pause, Rewind, Forward and Stop buttons.
•Share button for embedding the mixtapes on other websites and social networks. (I want the share feature to be handled by Gigya.com “Wildfire in widget” which saves you the time and effort of creating the sharing features yourself. It’s a simple integration all is required is two pieces of code.
•Playlist views and playlist ratings
•logo watermark that links back to specified website.

Publishing Mixtapes:
Publishing the mixtapes must be done from the “Write Post” page in Wordpress.

Playlist publishing module should have the following:
•Fields for each mixtape being uploaded; track title, description and mixtape title.
•Ability to read the ID3 tags of the mp3 files and fill in the required fields automatically.
•Mass up-loader feature to upload a list of mp3 files (please note that most mixtapes consist of 20 – 30 mp3 files and 1 – 2 images)
•Image upload, just like album covers all mixtapes come with a cover as well. Since it's located in the same folder I would like this to be uploaded with the mp3 files all at once since it will be displayed in the flash player as the album cover.
•Folder import feature to import mixtapes from a folder already located on a server whether it may be located on my website or a remote sever. Example; http://mysite.com/directory/mp3andimages/ or http://remoteserver.com/directory/mp3andimages/.


Ratings, Views, and Downloads Module:
This module will track and display the amount of time a mixtape is viewed, rated and downloaded.

Features for Ratings and Views module:

•Ratings - Visitors will be able to rate any mixtape from 1 to 5 (must be logged in rate the mixtape but all visitors can view the ratings)

•Views - Tracks and displays the amount of time a mixtape has been viewed/played


Download Module:
The download feature works different from the ratings and views module, it tracks the amount of downloads done by regular visitors and registered users.

Features for the download module:
•Automatically create zip files for a specified web directory, serve the zip file for download and then delete the zip file, Example: http://mywebsite.com/webditeory/specified-mixtape/ or http://remoteserver.com/webditeory/specified-mixtape/. This will be the same directory that the files will be streamed from for the mixtapes.

•Two download links provided in every post, one for unregistered visitor which can be limited to a certain amount downloads and the other is for registered users which can be limited to a certain amount of downloads as well.
•This must also be done from the write post page.
•Ability to provide download links that don’t have to be zipped (i.e. file sharing sites and torrent files)

Admin Settings (not done from the “Wright Post” page)

Playlist MP3 Player Settings (On-site player)
•Ability Customize the look and feel of the Playlist MP3 Player to match the Wordpress site.
•Starts playing automatically (ability to turn off and on)
•Share button will not be displayed on the on-site player.
•Ability to edit what gets displayed on the onsite player.
•Logo to display on the player


Playlist MP3 Player Settings (Off-site player)
•Customize the look and feel of the Playlist MP3 Player to match the Wordpress site.
•Share button is displayed with the Gigya.com “Wildfire in Widget” integration.
•Logo to display on the player


Download Settings:
•Set limits for how many times registered and unregistered users can download mixtapes, this applies to all mixtapes on the site unless other wise specified in the “Write Post” page.
•Ability to set how long a zip file will stored before it’s deleted.


Admin Management:
1.A page that displays all published mixtapes, the amount of times they were viewed, downloaded, rated and the post id.

2.A link to the actual post

3.A link to the edit post page


Template Tags: (that does the following)
1.Display the ratings for a particular post.
2.Display the amount times a post has been viewed which depends on the amount of time the mixtape has been played (both on and off-site).
3.Download links for both registered and unregistered users; also displays the amount of times the mixtape has been downloaded.
4.A template tag that generates the Playlist MP3 Player embed code for a particular post so user can embed it on other websites and social networks (I will set this up to work with Gigya.com “Web Page Widget” so don’t worry about doing that part, all you need to provide is the template tag).


Widgets:

•Ratings widget that displays the highest and most rated mixtapes weekly, monthly or yearly, with the option to choose which one you want to display (weekly, monthly or yearly) and the number of posts you want to be shown.
•Post views widget that shows the amount of times a mixtape has been viewed weekly, monthly or yearly, with the option to choose which one you want to display (weekly, monthly or yearly) and the number of posts you want to be shown.
•Download Widget that displays the amount of time a mixtape has been downloaded weekly, monthly or yearly, with the option to choose which one you want to display (weekly, monthly or yearly) and the number of posts you want to be shown.

All the above widgets will display thumbnails (the same one uploaded when publishing the specified mixtape), Link to the post, ratings, views and downloads. I should also be able to use more than one of the same widget.

Page Templates:
1.A page template that displays the most downloaded mixtapes

2.A page template that displays the most viewed mixtapes

3.A page template that displays the highest a most rated mixtapes

All the above page templates should function the same way the category pages do…….



That’s it in a nutshell, if you don’t know what mixtapes are just think of them as albums or playlists.

Notes:

Please don’t waste my time it took me along time to write this, if you’re not positive you can build this plugin don’t bid on the project.

Before any final transactions are made you must provide me with a live demo of the entire plugin once finished, on your Wordpress blog installation of course.

I will be using the Wordpress "WP Super Cache" plugin, so keep that in mind.
