Description

A database driven flash application that pulls specified content from database tables, and urls to render a dynamic movie that is updated after a specified interval. The movie will be rendered to a LCD TV screen resolution TBD

Deliverables: Dynamic db driven (action script?) .FLA, working .SWF, calling .CFM

Technical Details

Presentation movie should be called and rendered via a coldfusion page.

Layout: 3 dynamically driven presentation “frames” – Main Presentation, Scrolling Marquee, Stock Quote Details. (see example mockup)

.FLA – should be well commented. DSN should be a variable and will be a registered ColdFusion DSN.

Main Presentation Window:

This window is populated with an image and data driven text. The presentation window loops thru queried recordset, pausing for 30 seconds for each record. The entire recordset (query) is “refreshed” by a variable in “hours”. After this variable has passed (via querystring on .cfm calling page), the query is regenerated to any new content is included.

Where: status = “approved” and onscreen = 1

Stock Quote with details –

Displays stock quote information via coldfusion component stockquote.cfc (attached). Information should be refreshed every 5 minutes.

Dynamic News Marquee - Renders the news “date” and news “headline” scrolling in from right to left. Pause 10 seconds, exits left.

Where Clause: expiryDate > NOW, PublishDate >=NOW, status = “approved”
