There are several different methods to achieve the "optimization" and search algorithims. Most likely, the site you want to copy has a runtime bot that crawls these sites daily and stores it in a database. Thus, when users search it will simply query the database for lighting fast results! Of course, there are other ways to go about this as well... I'd love to discuss with you my other ideas. I'm ready to start! :)
