Description

Description: The assignment is writing a microapp running on JavaME with the following functionality: it reads the mobile phone's video camera and transmits it in real-time to a server via TCP or UDP channel. The transmitted video format is any advanced format (3gp, h263, h264, etc..) supported by the platform. The sreaming protocol is also any standard open protocol (RSTP, HTTP, etc) supported by the platform. The prototype should be able to provide acceptable user experiece concerning audio and video quality via tipical mobile data connection (including, but not restricted to wifi). This prototype is part of an R&D project, in case of successful implementation, further cooperation is possible.

I am a USA grad and have a MSc in Software Engineering from the UK. I have over 10 years of dev experience in Java, Mobile/PDA dev, web dev, multimedia etc. I have experience with J2ME apps specially with integrating them with servers for data transmission over HTTP.
