Description

We need the following built
J2ME midlet for a Nokia Mobile (S40 operating system) which does the following:
1. Midlet starts with one input field
2. User enters a number into the field
3. Midlet uses phone data connection (i.e. http connection) to contact a website (we will specify website address to the winning bid)
4. Website returns XML document with list of http links and/or file links and other additional information see XML document below.
5. Midlet displays list of http links and file links in order received in XML file
a. If user clicks on ‘http’ link phone goes to http web page (midlet will shut down)
b. However if user clicks on ‘file’ link
i. Midlet searches users phone sd card (at a given file path) for multimedia file
ii. If the file IS found on the local sd card it is played
iii. If file is NOT found
1. a notice is printed to the display to tell the user that the file is being downloaded and is of ‘filesize’ and will take approximately 15+‘filesize’/22 seconds to download
2. the file is downloaded from the URI
3. the downloaded file is saved to the phones sd card to the ‘filepath’ specified (creating the folders if required)
4. the file is then played from the sd card
iv. On completion playing the file the midlet returns to the menu list (step 5 above).

But you know that so as "Midlet searches users phone sd card (at a given file path)" the phone should supported JSR-75? And I doubt that many from Nokia Series 40 have it.

I am software professional residing in Finland. I worked at Nokia for 13 years, and have extensive experience in software and mobile application development. What you get is a seasoned veteran to implement your project, More importantly, you'll get a high-quality end result you can deploy, maintain and support. Your requirements for the app sound fairly straigthforward. My estimate for the total project is based on 1 day of design, 1 day of coding, 1 day of unit testing, 1 day of system testing and 1 day of documentation, totaling in 6 estimated days of effort. 6 days equals to 45 hours. That at my standard rate of EUR 150/hour is EUR 6750, and with the current weak dollar is approximately $10800. Calendar schedule is delivery two weeks (14 days) after we have agreed on Terms and Conditions and the PO and the project has been approved. Sincerely yours, Aarne Ylä-Rotiala aarne.yla-rotiala@pp.inet.fi Synopsis Services

I am an experienced J2ME programmer and just finished a GPS tracking based social community network application for moble phone which contains similar type of feature. I believe in doing the perfect job for you.
