Description

We are preparing to build an advanced Drupal website that will be deployed in the beginning of next year. It will be a business site with heavy level of community features. It will have product and service descriptions as well as Flash video, Blogs, Forums, uploaded and downloaded content and a shopping cart. The site will start with a few core functions and grow as we are able to add new users and new products.

This project will be done in 5 phases, starting with a planning phase. We are looking for a Drupal consultant to help with the planning stage and possibly the entire project. We are a software company and have technical skills in-house, but do not have Drupal skills, so at this time we are looking for an advisor, not a programmer.

We have found a Drupal website that has many of the features that we want to use, and we would like to study that site to estimate the scope of the project. We would like the consultant to evaluate that site and provide us with the following information.

Analysis of what Drupal modules are used:
1) Evaluate which modules were used to build this existing Drupal site
2) Identify which modules are community and which appear to be custom

Estimate of effort to deploy a smaller version of the existing site (though on a smaller scale):
3) Suggest how to implement the Flash video as seen on the sample site
4) Describe how to implement multiple language version of the site
5) Estimate time and cost to build custom modules
6) Estimate time and cost required to deploy the sample site

Suggestions on project scope required to build a similar site:
7) What resources are required
8) The skills and technical background required to code the custom work needed
9) The suggested hosting environment
10) A reasonable timeline for the scope of work

I am looking for a project manager or developer that has worked on several large Drupal sites. There may be future consulting work available on the project, but don’t consider that in your bid.

Please provide references of previous Drupal projects and some idea of your availability.
