Description

This is a small project with the following requirements for the modifications:

1. Regarding the shipping cost, we now work like this:
now we mainly sell jewelry online. the shipping cost is $19.99( No matter how many quanities you will purchase). But the shipping cost is free ($0) for the order over $150. we call it as " the first shipping method" hereinafer.

Now I want to modify this feature like this:

we can set different shipping cost for different kinds of products ( for example, the tea pot, it is not appropriate if the shipping charge is still $19.99. In this case,the shipping cost for this tea pot is $45( or any value which we can set at admin). the shipping cost is free on order over $500 or not free on any amount of order.( we can set free or not free at admin with the shipping moudle).

the successul work like this:

If you purchase a pearl jewelry, the system gives you the caculation of the shipping cost: $19.99 + the pearl jewelry cost. If you contine to shop, and purchase a tea pot, the system can display the shipping cost of the tea pot ( supposed that we set $45 at admin), the calculation is like this when checking out:

the pearl jewelry: $56.00
shipping cost: $19.99
the tea pot: $89.00
shipping cost: $45.00

Modle B


the pearl jewelry: $150.00
shipping cost: $0.00 ( free shipping on order over $150)
the tea pot: $89.00
shipping cost: $45.00

Total: $190.00


Please note that the shipping module can allow us to set the free shipping for tea pot, We can set the free shpping on any value of the orders

Very important:
a) you can study the sample work" Individual Product Shipping Prices at http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1333, but our work is different from this sample in some aspects.

b) the new additional shipping method ( we call it as " indvidual shipping cost') optional categoriesis required to display on each product editting page, which include the following options:

shipping cost for this product:

multiple shipping value: USD $xx ( the second product), USD $ xx ( the third)...

Free shipping value setting : USD $ xxx ( free shipping will be applied on the order $xxx)

C) after your indvidual shipping cost is completed, I can see the current editting page should display

shipping cost for this product,multiple shipping value and Free shipping value setting, but these three category leave blank, the system should work with the first shipping method. If I put shipping values in these cateogries, the calculation will work with the "indvidual shipping cost'


D) the first shipping method ( $19.99 shipping cost,free shipping on $150.) is set default page.

if I do not set any values for "indvidual shipping cost' for any products, the calculation will work with the first method defaultly.


2.Modify the leftsided product main categories: when clicking the main product category at the left menu at homepage, it should display the subcategories immediately but not refresh the pages as we do now.




3. add rss.php.
