Meta Data Storage
Store music files info(name,file size,playtime,filetype etc) from local hardderive to SQL Database in the beginning
Add NEW music files from hardderive into the database, if you add new files later on. Need to run this job on schedule in the future.
Set up SQL Database tables i.e. MusicType, Artist,Album,Songs and Store procedures etc plus define relationship between different tables
Develop Admin interface to
manage metadata associated with the music such as title, album, artist and tags
let user upload their music to us
manage comments/ratings on the music submitted by users
Admin should be able to turn on / off any artist, album, song etc
Report statistics about the users listening
Develop User UI (Must be Microsoft AJAX based)
Develop Search Engine to fetch songs from database and show them in a playlist, where user can click and play
Develop Artist list by alphabet etc.
User should be able to rate and comment, download on the music that is playing (Pandora/Digg Style)
Need to handle all errors behind the scene and inform admin
Develop Customized Flash player
that will play Audio and Video of Real Media, Windows Media, Quicktime (in a pop up window). This player will play flash movie if file is not video type. UI for player will be given. Before songs start playing, detect if user have the right plugins for real, windows, quicktime, flash for all different operating systems. If not, go ahead and install it or ask user to install them. This player will have Search so that user can search for songs and play them right in the player (Ajax based)
Develop Search Engine
that will search all music(audio/video) on the web for e.g: I posted a song i created on myspace and youtube but can not find it on any of the mp3/music search engines avaliable at the moment.
I need this mp3 search engine to crawl the whole of the web and display all songs not just a few thousand, i meen ALL songs( all songs from youtube , myspace etc)
when you search a song on this search engine i need it to display all youtube results also, BUT it dispays them as mp3's and not videos(so the user of the site will not know that its sourced from youtube)
I want all songs to be able to be added to playlists and sub playlists (similar to the script that is linked at the top of this page but in a more advanced way at http://www.x10media.com/mp3-script)
when you search for an mp3/song it well be dispayed similar to the way they have it displayed on the script (see link at top of page)
once the results are shown you will then be able to:
PLAY SONG/Video - opens up our Customized player, can share song to sites like facebook ect.
can change facebook/twitter status's to let your contacts/friends know your listening to this song on the site
display a download button so users can download songs.
