Background:

There are websites that are basically link directories that link to free products (PDFs, MP3s, etc.). Right now, I have about 14 websites like this, each with various numbers of links.


Project:

The data I need is the contact information (website, name, email, address, phone, fax, etc.) for the publisher of each free product. This data can be collected by: (1) reviewing the free product for contact details, (2) going to the home page for the website the free product is on and looking for a contact page, (3) reviewing the WHOIS record for the domain the free product is provided on.

I can show you how to do any of those techniques listed -- including how to view a WHOIS record. This project is NOT technical, but clerical.

Money:

Please take a look at the sample website. Try to follow my requirements for a few of the free products. This will give you an idea of the amount of time and energy required for this project.

I am willing to pay you on a PER CONTACT basis. This means for every unique name/email/address/phone record, I will pay you a fixed rate. The duplicates should be very easy to weed out when you're doing the work, so that shouldn't be an issue.

If any of the contact records are too difficult or time consuming, you have the option of simply putting what you know into the record and leaving anything you don't know blank. (Then, I'll have someone else or ask you to research for a higher price.)

PLEASE BID BASED ON A "PER CONTACT RECORD" PAYMENT, ASSUMING 200 INITIAL "CONTACT RECORDS" -- Though I expect there to be a LOT more.

If you do this first project well, I will have plenty of additional work for you doing the same or similar tasks.
