Description

Short Description and program request
The request is to create a web page for monitoring of printed media market
Users of this program should be able to obtain necessary information about the current status of the printed media market. Each user will have their own account and displayed information will be limited to the package they purchase.

Main ideas of the web page
1. Monitoring advertising samples in printed media releases
Monitoring of activity of advertisers (business owners that place advertisements in the printed media) in printed media
Show how each printed media provider (e.g. newspaper, magazine) evolves and grows (amount of advertising pages, ad sizes and categories in each issue of the printed media) e.g. a newspaper would like to know how its competition is is doing, growing or downsizing.
2. What users will pay for is advertising data about printed media (newspapers, magazines…etc), which will be displayed to them in a form of tables and graphs.
Show database which would reflect information about advertisers (name, address, advertising category, size of the ad) e.g. Firm A would like to know it competition in Auto category.

3. Monitoring of competing market

Show competition by category, who uses which printed media, how much of it is used and how frequently
This data will be organized by printed media and advertisers (businesses that place advertising in the printed media). Each of the printed media and advertisers will have their own info page with graphs charts and trends displayed in it.

• All information should be displayed in a form of diagrams and tables
While creating this webpage it should be noted that operators and moderators can be located at different parts of the world.
Clients can choose different packages which will limit their access to information.
Clients should be able to make online payments.
We have a detailed description of each page and all functionality, and again I’d like to note that it is just a preliminary design and can be modified. I accept suggestions for an easier programming, use and functionality.
All data will be entered manually through a form on the site by few users that will have access only to that form.
