Description:	This is a simple cut and paste project. We are building a contact list for commercial printing companies. We want you to go to www.macraesbluebook.com and extract only the contact info for commercial printers. MacRAE's Blue Book is a free business directory that makes company contact information freely available. This is not a scraping project and it follows all 'Terms of Use' of the site. We are print brokers and wish to send work to these printers. There are around 15500 profiles and we estimate that the project will take around 52 hours for one person. Go to http://www.macraesbluebook.com/search/product_company_list.cfm?prod_code=6008200 2. Look on right side of the page under a blue box that says “PRINTING: Commercial - Companies Serving:” 3. Start by clicking on “Alabama AL” 4. On the center of the page, you will notice 4 links for “Western States Envelope & Label” between yellow boxes saying “Click to get Free Quote/Send RFQ/Contact All Companies”. IGNORE THESE LINKS. 5. Below the second yellow box are links with the names of various printing companies. They will look like “Claymer Inc Montgomery, AL” or “Hardwick & Son Printing Inc Dothan AL”. 6. Click on each link to go to the company’s profile page. At the profile page, copy the top portion of the page to a text file. This should include the Company Name, Address, Phone, Fax, Website, Business Activity, and Product Description. In other words, start at the top blue bar containing the company name and select down until right before you reach the second yellow bar that says “Get Free Quote / Samples / Send RFQ” 7. The top portion of the page should be copy/pasted to a .txt file. a. To do this, open “Notepad” in Windows. Save the file as “mcbbprinters_[State].txt”. So in the case of Alabama the file would be named “mcbbprinters_alabama.txt” b. Type “~” on the top of the text file. c. Paste what you selected and copied in Step 6. d. Type “~” again on the next line then repeat this for all the listings under Alabama (around 240). (Just hit “Next Page” at the bottom of each page till you get to the end of the listings. 8. Repeat Steps 4 to 7 for each State. 9. Repeat these steps for all states listed.
