Description

TYPIST WANTED

We are looking for effective and efficient typists to work on an hourly rate. Minimum 45 WPM. They must be able to work to deadlines. Work will be on and onging basis over the next 3 months around 15 - 20 hours per week. You will be paid on an hourly basis ($/hr).

You will require a broadband internet connection and excellent english spelling ability . Previous experience in the field of transcribing videos would be helpful . Please quote your hourly rate and include WPM .

Some questions for bidders -
1) How long will it take you to transcribe 1 hour of audio?
2) How long will it take you to return the completed work?

US$10 per hour is my preferred rate for your transcription work and can devote upto 30 hours every week for your tasks. Here are the answers that you seek: 1) How long will it take you to transcribe 1 hour of audio?; Depends on complexity of content, terms used...but with time my speed will increase with enhanced work familiarity. On transcribing a 1-hour worth of audio, it'll take me two hours to work on it, with 65 wpm typing skills, depending on the clarity and topic of the file. I'd be able to turn over the said file two to four hours after I've transcribed and edited it. I've been doing transcription and editing services for three years, the first two was with a call center here in Makati, Philippines, and the latter, I work at home as a freelancer. My bid for an hourly rate is $15 (transcribing, editing, research all-in-one) The software that I use is Start Stop Pedal Power and I do use a pedal to work quickly and is connected to broadband Internet.

I can provide good transcription. I have great experience in danish, but I am also a good english writer, and I can do about 60 words a minute when just writing. I would be about 1 hour 30 minutes about transcribe 1 hour audio. I have windows media for listening to mp3's and I have openoffice for writing documents ( can be used with word. ) I can do it for $15 an hour, so the bid is for 20 hours of work.

I have substantial experience transcribing, mostly interviews(video and audio) using a foot pedal and audio scribe for software. I charge 20 dollars for per audio hour and it takes me around 2-4 hours depending on the complexity of content and quality of audio. my wpm is around 60+-10 Please refer to the pm for sample of a video transcription.

Hi Steven, I'd be delighted to be able to help you with your project. I've based the above quote on transcribing 5hrs of audio within a week, this equates to 60 USD for an hour's audio. I can transcribe 1hr's audio in 4hrs completed within a day, I'm an experienced transcriptionist to 60wpm, have Express Scribe installed which works very well with mp3 files. I have not previously worked with videos, but this is not a problem. I have a good broadband connection. My quoted amount is based on the assumption that I would have 20 hours per project of audio, at an hourly rate of $15/hour. Please see below for further information relating to pay. I can work on up to 8 hours of audio daily and can finish that in less than 7, depending on the clarity and speed of the speaker. I use WinAMP on my computer or my iPod to listen to the MP3 audio; I also adjust the speed of the audio file up to the maximum I can keep up with. I can type over 95 wpm on average and have very few spelling errors at all. I also proof-read all of my work manually and do not charge extra for this service. I simply charge by the hour of transcribed audio at the standard playback speed. If I can speed it up and still keep up and provide an accurate transcription, I consider that a bonus I earn for quality work. Please contact me if you are interested in my services. Also, price is negociable, as I do not have much experience doing this online for people (I have done it for both of my parents who attend numerous medical seminars and like to have the speaker(s) speeches transcribed). I have normally been paid at a rate of 15 dollars an hour, but this was true time (as in, the time it took me, not the length of the audio track at standard playback speed). Hello there! My name is Julia and I would like to become involved and help you with your project. I am currently unemployed and am looking to make a living from work such as this. I have little experience of doing quotes, but would be willing to work for $15 per hour. I can tell you from my experience of transcription work that I could transcribe 2hrs of audio in 5hrs doing that within 24 hrs (ie a day) depending on the quality/clarity. I have experience in transcription work to 75wpm with excellent accuracy and I will always proof read my own work. I have installed Express Scribe to get me started and I know that this works very well with mp3 files. I have never worked with videos, but I do not anticipate that this be a stumbling block and am quick to learn new skills. I have a good broadband connection. I am British and speak fluent English. I am new to elance.com, but I have had some experience transcribing videos in my work with disabled clients. I have used and have access to Dragon Naturally Speaking to do a "rough pass" over the audio, then I go back through the audio myself and compare what I hear to what has been captured by the software. I find that the process is quicker if I skip the s/w and do the job manually. 1. I can usually transcribe an hour in 1 hour 45 mins - 2 1/2 hours. 2. Work will be returned as soon as completed, unless you have an alternate schedule that works best for you. 3. In all honesty, my experience is minimal. I have transcribed 30 1/2 videos for clients in the past. 4. Due to my answer in question 3 my bid rate is going to be $10/hr. to start. I am a qualified English Transcriber based in England. I work for a number of companies providinf audio digital transcription services and have over 10 years audio typing experience in Local Government, Medical and legal fields. I type at 80wpm and it normally takes me around 2 hours to type 1 hours of audio depending on the quality, number of speakers etc. I usually provide a 24 hr turnaround service for 3 hours of audio. I will charge $11 per audio hour for this project as there will be a large quantity of work which will be guaranteed. My normal hourly rate is $20.
