Iphone Social Media App:
The problem scene today:
People regularly go to coffee shops, ride trains, busses, sit in parks mostly ignoring people closeby, unless they already know them. This creates a very awkward run in when its accidental. All it takes is something in common like a similar clothing or interest and people instantly build rapport. Women do this constantly with shoes. "Oh I love our shoes where did you get them" Society has become mostly closed off from this since everyone is always poking at a phone or computer when bored. These days people are very much socially awkward.
The APP:
This app would seek to solve that need for "an icebreaker". It would help people open to meeting new people and connect professionals that could lead to new business partnerships, frindships etc.
Titled: UCanCME would sync with social media sites, like facebook pulling information from "interests" section of profile, showing a little blurb of their interests above their facebook picture on a map using GPS. GPS is not always perfect but users would be able to update their status with a more specific location "In borders: coffee shop, 2nd floor"
Example: "Open to talk about Liberal Politics" or "Studying Physics, need help!"

It would connect people that are in close proximity to each other based on similar interests. For example, i'm obsessed about new technology, entrepreneurship, and travel. If I were to be working by myself in the library at a university and needed a break, I could "go live" on UCanCMe app and it would show people that might be taking a programming class, have traveled to the same countries I have, or just bought the newest technological breakthrough and wants to share. This builds instant Rapport and something to talk about. Users would be on their own to make the actual intro. This app simply facilitates the intro. There would be tight security where users could close their settings off to just their "facebook friends" or only students from the same university etc.
There is alot of potential ad revenue such as employing admob's platform with thousands of users using it to make more IN PERSON connections.
This project would include a fully developed website, graphic design and Iphone app. I am looking for a freelancer for both ends of the project. Someone with sleek clean cut graphic design similar to envto.com's websites. Freelancer must have portfolio of successful published apps. I'm looking to keep the project simple and go live within 4-6 months.
