EDIT:
Solar war
General information:
This game will program as Web 2.0 application.
The server side will program as MVC (visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model-view-controller) system using PHP & MySQL or using Propel (Visit: http://propel.phpdb.org/trac/).
For the system framework the programmer can use Symfony (Visit: http://www.symfony-project.org/).
The client side will program with strict XHTML and JS/AJAX using Prototype/Dojo (Visit: www.prototypejs.org/dojotoolkit.org).
The game will include different race, I will be able to add new races each time and add there specific building and there advantage and disadvantage on other races.
In the game, the player could user 3 different views:
Galaxy>Planet>Town
1. Galaxy view: http://solar.rdy.co.il/newPanel/
On this view, the user can navigate on the world and see other planets.
2. Planet view: the player can see all towns on the selected planet.
3. Town view: the player can see the town details (building and levels each).
The game will include different view for each building to specify the building ability, for example: laboratory will allow the user to set amount of researchers to speed up the research process.
All units will be upgradeable, for example soldiers can improve the attack damage.
The game should run as real time browser game like Ikariam, so all the user actions will be based on events that will trigger handling function (for add event, info on the event and run the event), for more information and example I will show you what I've programmed until now.
Because the game will be based on handling function – to add new building that will require additional coding.
On the super admin panel:
1. Edit all user data (building, units each)
2. Add new building (need to specify the handling functions) Per race.
3. Add new units to building Per race.
4. See full statistics.
For adding new building/units I will need to set requirements such as buildings levels/specific research that the lab need to finish and so on.
