Description

I need a middleware program or script that will run under Linux (Ubuntu) preferable a “Perl Script” that would continuously talk to multiple Symbol XR400 RFID readers and gather information (RFID Tags data) from these RFID readers and fed tag data into a MySQL data base. The RFID tags data consists of tag ID, tag read time, tag read point, tag zone ID, protocol ID, Signal Strength, Device ID, Event ID, Read Point ID and Read Point Class. If you need more info about this information please refer to the Symbol’s integrator manual provided on their website.

Once these tag data has been recorded into the database, I will need a web interface that will report what in the data base. The web interface must have a security so very first time user login to the page must enter username and password before accessing the data base. The login information including login attempt, user login time and date are recorded and can be view by the system administrator. If user login attempt reach certain time (3 times) and after predetermine hour (if user “A” is scheduled to work between 8am until 5pm, he/she should not be logging into the system at 9pm), a notification email is sent to the system administrator.

On the web interface, it may need AJAX, Java script, PHP, Flash, Flex or any kind of programming script so the interface will need to look and feed like a program and NOT like web where the page need to be refresh continuously.

The interface will have an option to import small picture box which will later be matched with the tag ID. For instant, if the RFID reader detects a RFID tag ID 1111, the interface will display tag ID 1111 on the screen along with a picture of the owner of tag ID 1111.

What I need is a phase one of the project. This phase is basically proving the concept stage. I will award phase two to the person/company who provide satisfactory job on this phase one and the pay check will be larger.
