Description

At the moment in Auctionbutler.net the display of categories is not very well solved. There is some navigation possible but the status is, that the choices of categories are very limited. This was nice to start with, but for an professional search functionality it is not well enough.

This Category Tree has to be modified with Ajax. While clicking on an Category the next lower category level (all entries) will be displayed with the number of entries. Always 1 level above the last clicked category will be displayed also. In the bottom line exist an field to collapse the whole tree or to open it completely. It is important to make sure that the field in which the categories are being displayed will grow with the content just by setting the next field deeper or higher.

Of course the clicking on the categories will have also implications for the displayed search results similar as it does already now.

After several questions I should maybe clarify:

You do not have to register but just to search for some terms like "Nintendo" in the Search Engine and then the Category tree will be built out of the response of Ebay... unfortunately right now only some results are being displayed in the category tree as you mas see when you compare the findings of the main category with the number of findings in the sub categories

After some additional questions: the data for the category tree do not come out of any database in the site but are delivered by the Ebay-API
