Description

Overview:

Need to build an events calendar that local venues can add their upcoming music related shows to. it needs to be dynamic in a sense that multiple venues will be adding events to their lists. A running calendar of events needs be displayed, linked to a venue detail page and from there to a event detail page. The displayed information will be placed into a template site. Images are attached for reference. The calendar needs to be adjustable as to how many days in advance it will read and display. some weeks will have an enormous amount of information while others will have less. Preferably the calendar will read out 7 days.

administrator functions: admin sets up each venue.

ability to add, edit and delete venues, or any information in the tables
(ability to hide or make visible any venue with a click, this will hide or make visible all venue information as well as its events)

fields to be used:

venue name
venue website
venue street address
venue city
venue state
venue zip code
venue map (text field for google maps etc)
venue contact email: OPTIONAL

venue image

venue information (about the location - text)

visible / hide check box

venue username (venue name)
venue password (to be added by administrator)

This is the information for the administrator to set up for each venue

****After events have been added by the venue’s, admin has the ability to go in and add an additional link to BUY TICKETS. this will be an image link that will go to ticketmaster, buytickets.com etc but will be only added by the ADMIN. this is going to be set up as a referral link for a revenue generator.

Adding/ Editing/Deleting Event Information

Event Name (ie. Ratt - Invasion of Your Holiday Tour)
Additional Event Info (ie. Playing with Scorpions and Great White)
Date of Event (entered as 11/13/08 - but to be displayed as Thursday November 13)
Time of Event (ie. 9:30pm)
Price of Event (ie $5.00)
Link to Event headliner website (http:// to show, user will enter the rest)
Additional information on the event (if available)



attached are images of the front end to be displayed.
there will be numerous venues so the running calendar has to be able to pull from all of the events added to the database.
