Internet reputation repair is about regular: -monitoring the negative comments posted on blogs, forums, and other e-message boards (social media sites) and countering them with 'believable' positive posts -online publishing press releases, articles and blogs carrying good +ve messages and packaging info to position the person/company into a pathbreaking pro/thought leader -starting a website (or if you already have a website, build a microsite) devoted to promoting +ve messaging on the particular issue -sending out regualr e-newsletter and e-greetings spreading the +ve messages in a focused manner -conducting an online contest with attractive sweepstakes persuading people to post +ve comments about you (weekly prize to the best entry) to build user excitement around your +ve reputation movement -starting a regular webinar series to e-educate people on your different activities. I have done this for a Chinese B2B sourcing portal which had to fight a negative perception that they are a 'scamster' dealing in fake goods...see PM for some work samples of this work of mine ( I have over 15 years of reputation management and crisis communications as a seasoned PR and marketing expert)
