Description

Project outline

This project requires the programmer chosen to work on a dummy (Sandbox) version of our existing custom built e-commerce site and to get the require updates to a complete working level from which would then upload to live site.

We require above all else the project to be completed within agreed time frames and to be tested fully before handing over.

These needs to work in conjunction with existing e-commerce site and no changes other than these should be made.

All changes must best practises and should not affect S.E.O in anyway. All downloadable where required and in excel

Work required.

We currently only have a customer login area which if used simply enables the customer if registered to avoid re-filling any of the order forms currently on the website. We however want an area which is accessible from any page and once logged in allows the customer to see and use the features below.

Required features within customer account area user end:

1. Edit address details

2. Edit Password

3. Browse purchase history - displayed like basket display.

4. Edit email address

5. Subscribe or un-subscribe from our newsletter

6. We require a customer rewards systems were by a customer can gain points/credits which they can redeem against purchases for our existing e-commerce website. All the customer has to do is either one or all of the below.

Recommend friends who sign up to email newsletter.
Place links on forums, Myspace, Blogs, etc.
Purchase 10, 20, 30 etc items gets you points
Making a purchase gets you points

They would be able to add friends emails details to the data base, which would activate an email to be sent to the email address with a pre-formatted email explaining the email and permission to have their email included into the data base etc. Only upon customer reply would points be activated and email address logged onto permission approved email list.

All link claims would have to be manually checked but they would still have to be stored somewhere in the admin for approval and when approved the points register on the customers account.

7. A message centre where we can notify customers of offers direct into the account area.

8. Edit birthday – this system would also automatically know when it’s a customers birthday and send out a pre formatted email custom addressed to the customer in question.

Admin Work

1. Out of stock items to be displayed next to size option in dropdown field on product page

2. Out of stock to be in place of price when item sells out fully.

3. Email duplication stopped on newsletter and registered users sign ups.

4. Product Properties/Care notes added to input field in admin to generate separate area on product page directly below product description
